A Yo Gabba Gabba 2nd Birthday

Today we celebrated Andrew's 2nd birthday...his favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba so when we started planning it was a no brainer for Mark and I.  The show has such bright colors so it made decorating super easy(that and everyone's best friend Pinterest).
The birthday boy...I can't believe that he is already 2.  He is the happiest little guy and im pretty sure that he has never met a stranger!

I found the idea for this backdrop on pinterest...and it was super simple to put together.  We already had the curtain rod so after we blew up the balloons we safety pinned 4 of the balloons together and then used twist ties to put them up.

I made cupcakes and iced them with orange so they would look like DJ Lance's hat...and the Muno's next to the cupcakes were pretzel rods dipped in red chocolate and then I put little candy eyes on(soooo much fun and sooo simple)
I made this table look like DJ Lance's boombox...we decided to make chili dogs for the main dish plus the hotdogs kind of look like Muno.
These are all of the main characters that are on the show and what we based the food on.  Foofa, Muno, Toodee, Plex and Brobee, I got them at Toys R Us...I'm sure that you can order them online but I am impatient and don't like to wait for stuff to come in the mail.  When I was in hobby lobby a few weeks ago looking for stuff for the party I found the pin wheels, they really don't have anything to do with the show but I thought that they were super cute and wanted to incorporate them into the party somehow :)

This is just an overview of the main food table

The "plex mix" was a sweet version of chex mix...you can find the recipe here.

My sister-in-laws mom is awesome and she drew the characters for me and then I painted them...I think that they were a great addition to the party!

Toodee, she likes to have fun
Brobee, the little green one

Foofa, she's pink and happy

Muno, he's tall and friendly

Plex, the magic robot
Our little family...Mark is such a great dad and I think that he was pretty excited that he got to wear the DJ Lance hat for the party(he is running his 2nd marathon next month and I told him that he should wear it then so we can spot him a little bit better lol)

Scrapbook Ministry March Crop

I am so excited to share the 4 classes that I am going to be offering at the March weekend crop...like always each class is only $5 :)

The first class is a bag topper class where we will use the top note die and a few other punches to create these adorable little bags.

In the second class we will be using the Stampin Up markers to create these cards...for the first card we will be using the blender pen to shade and for the second card we will be coloring directly onto the stamp.

For the third class we will be using the new pinwheel die from the spring catalog.

For the forth class we will be using the acrylic block stamping technique to create these cards.

If you have any questions or would like to sign up for a class please feel free to email me at ashleymcallise@yahoo.com
